As a Preservation Coordinator at Worley, you will play a critical role in delivering sustainable change by ensuring the integrity, reliability, and longevity of essential equipment and materials throughout the lifecycle of complex energy, chemicals, and resources projects. This position contributes directly to our purpose of delivering a more sustainable world by protecting valuable project assets from degradation, enabling our customers to transition responsibly to more sustainable operations while meeting today’s global demand.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Preservation Strategies
    Design and execute integrated preservation plans that align with project-specific requirements, industry best practices, and Worley’s sustainability-focused goals.

  • Coordinate and Oversee Preservation Activities
    Lead preservation activities across all project phases—from fabrication to commissioning and handover—working closely with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure consistency and quality.

  • Ensure Compliance and Quality Standards
    Monitor preservation efforts for compliance with project specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and health and safety standards. Perform audits and inspections to identify potential risks and ensure corrective actions are taken.

  • Data Management and Reporting
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of preservation activities using digital systems. Track asset conditions and prepare reports that provide visibility and accountability to key stakeholders.

  • Liaison and Communication
    Act as the primary point of contact for all preservation-related matters, fostering proactive communication and collaboration among engineering, construction, operations, and project management teams.

  • Vendor and Subcontractor Management
    Oversee the work of vendors and subcontractors involved in preservation activities, ensuring their adherence to contractual obligations, technical standards, and performance expectations.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement
    Contribute to the ongoing evolution of preservation processes by identifying opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and enhanced asset performance, supporting Worley’s ambition to be a recognized leader in sustainability solutions.

Qualifications / Skillset

  • Technical Expertise
    Strong understanding of preservation techniques, equipment lifecycle management, and materials protection methods used in complex energy and resources projects.

  • Industry Experience
    Demonstrated experience in the oil and gas, chemicals, or resources sectors, with exposure to large-scale engineering or construction projects.

  • Knowledge of Standards and Regulations
    Familiarity with applicable industry standards, quality assurance protocols, safety regulations, and environmental compliance relevant to preservation activities.

  • Project Management Capabilities
    Proven ability to coordinate preservation activities across multi-disciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in dynamic project environments.

  • Data Literacy
    Experience using digital tools and database systems to track preservation status, record inspection outcomes, and generate stakeholder reports.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and maintain effective vendor relationships.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset
    Analytical and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying risks, resolving issues, and implementing improvements that support project sustainability and asset performance.
