The Role
As an Instrumentation Designer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….
- Develop and prepare design documentation including SPI, Instrument Index, layouts, loop diagrams, and JB termination and wiring drawings.
- Create general arrangement (GA) layouts for JB, IO, and field termination panels.
- Design control room layouts and plan cable routing to optimize system efficiency.
- Utilize SP3D, Smart Sketch, E3D, MicroStation, and AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks.
- Act as the lead designer on projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive design execution.
- Mentor and train junior designers, providing guidance on best practices and design standards.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all designs meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate instrumentation and control systems into overall project designs.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- 4-12 years of relevant experience in control and instrumentation design.
- Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in SP3D, Smart Sketch, E3D, MicroStation, and AutoCAD.
- Added preference:
- Hands-on experience on 3D modeling in SP3D and or E3D
- Hands-on experience in Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI)
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SPI, instrument indexing, and layout design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
