The Role
As a Piping Designer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….
- Conduct piping layout studies and detailing for various systems, including pumps, compressors, exchangers, pipe racks, air coolers, columns, heaters, horizontal and vertical vessels, tank farm areas, mills, cyclones, flotation cells, sizers, thickeners, and filter presses for projects in India, Australia, Europe, and overseas.
- Utilize E3D for piping, support, and equipment modeling, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Extract and annotate piping general arrangement (GA) drawings and isometrics, along with support general arrangements.
- Manage the extraction and checking of Material Take-Off (MTO) and other relevant reports.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of piping material specifications and national/international codes and standards (IS, ASME, API, BS, EN).
- Utilize 2D software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and 3D software (E3D, Inventor, Autodesk Plant 3D, AutoCAD 3D) effectively.
- Conduct model review sessions to ensure design integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate in workshare environments with the lead office and other project stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with clients and lead offices, both verbally and in writing.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in piping design.
- Proficiency in E3D and other design software mentioned above.
