The Role

As a Senior Project Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….

  • Oversee and manage engineering projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Provide technical guidance and solutions throughout the project lifecycle, from design and engineering to construction and commissioning.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Facilitate clear communication and resolve any issues or conflicts.
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management plans.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure quality standards are met. Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and documentation.
  • Develop and manage project budgets. Track expenditures and implement cost-control measures to prevent budget overruns.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, including progress updates, financial summaries, and performance metrics, to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and project team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field). A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 18+ years of experience in engineering project management within the oil and gas/refineries/petrochemical/chemical industry. Proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong technical and engineering knowledge relevant to oil and gas/refineries/petrochemical/chemical projects.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
