The Role
As a Project Manager with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….
- We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with over 18 years in the ammonia, oil and gas, refinery, chemical, or petrochemical industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading large-scale, complex projects and ensuring their successful execution from initiation through to completion.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the ammonia, oil & gas, refinery, chemical, or petrochemical sectors. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop and implement project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation. Define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Facilitate communication and manage expectations.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors. Foster a collaborative environment and ensure effective team performance.
- Prepare and manage project budgets. Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement financial controls to stay within budget.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management plans to address potential issues.
- Ensure that all project activities adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements. Promote a strong safety culture within the project team.
- Monitor project progress and quality to ensure adherence to specifications and standards. Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and documentation.
- Prepare and present project status reports, including progress updates, financial summaries, and performance metrics, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle. Implement solutions to ensure project success.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or related field). A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 18 years of experience in project management within the ammonia, oil & gas, refinery, chemical, or petrochemical industries. Demonstrated success in managing large, complex projects.
- Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong technical understanding of oil & gas, refinery, chemical, or petrochemical processes.
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and large budgets.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
