**Job Title: Senior Principal Electrical Engineer**
**Purpose of the Role:**
The Senior Principal Electrical Engineer at Worley is responsible for supervising discipline teams on projects, directing project execution activities, and ensuring the quality, cost, and schedule delivery of all discipline work. This role plays a crucial part in bridging traditional energy sources with sustainable solutions, aligning with Worley’s ambition to be a global leader in sustainability solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
*Business Development Support*
- Assist in business development activities by maintaining an up-to-date professional profile.
- Build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors.
- Develop discipline execution strategies, estimate costs, write proposal content, and present proposals to customers.
*Business Operations*
- Communicate team resource loading and skill requirements to the Discipline Manager.
- Ensure project coverage during absences and support the employee performance review process.
- Mentor, train, and support team members, fostering compliance with processes and resolving issues.
*Technical Competency*
- Ensure adherence to accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Support the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
- Promote technical excellence through the use of local and global standards and engage in peer reviews.
*Project Execution*
- Participate in project execution strategy and planning, owning the discipline scope, cost, and time requirements.
- Drive innovative solutions and manage project changes, coordinating with other disciplines to ensure project success.
- Monitor discipline quality, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
*Project Deliverables*
- Oversee data gathering and preparation of engineering studies, analyses, and calculations.
- Define technical issues, propose solutions, and ensure recommendations are documented and approved.
- Review and authorize work done by direct reports, ensuring the incorporation of all relevant information.
*Procurement Support*
- Incorporate relevant information into equipment/material specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions.
- Facilitate bid clarifications, bid evaluations, and vendor information reviews, ensuring quality and compliance.
*Site Support*
- Participate in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews, incorporating feedback into engineering/design.
- Work with site personnel to resolve issues and provide or lead on-site support for construction, commissioning, or turnover as needed.

**Qualifications / Skill Set:**
*Essential Qualifications and Training*
- A 4 or 5-year technical degree in science or engineering.
- Leadership and project execution training.
- Active licensure with a local engineering governing body where required by law.
*Desirable Qualifications and Training*
- Training in risk management or quality.
*Experience and Knowledge*
- Over 12 years of relevant discipline experience, with at least 3 years in project leadership roles.
- Strong background in discipline work and a comprehensive understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry practices.
- Proficiency in estimating project costs, writing proposal content, and leading project teams.
*Technical Skills*
- Competence in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Functional awareness of discipline tools and their interrelationship with analytics and modeling.
- Desirable: Competence in Microsoft Access and Visio, and touch typing ability.
