Summary:

Senior IT Infrastructure Technical Specialist utilizing in-depth knowledge, advanced problem solving skills and an awareness of project priorities to translate strategic direction into tactical plans and implementation activities.  Guided by functional practices, management precedents, and professional standards.  Decisions are typically of a tactical variety.  Able to develop conclusions from analyses and apply results to project operations.  Decisions are typically based on extensive business acumen and seasoning.

Purpose:

This role provides accountability for the delivery of services and project outcomes by Worley Digital Operations for a major sustainability project at Worley.  The role establishes, sustains and enhances a strong working relationship with Project Leadership, site leadership, and executive stakeholders directly tied to the project.  This ensures that project management is aligned with and supports the plans of Worley Digital, while Worley Digital remains fully informed of the project’s objectives, requirements and evolving needs.  This role serves as the primary liaison between this major project team and Worley Digital, representing the project in all planning and strategic discussions.  Additionally, the role may carry direct accountability for the successful delivery of Digital Operations support and services to the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Manager, other  PDS/ EDS / RDSS / Support Functions, and third line support teams, on the operational aspects of associated services to meet or exceed committed service levels.
  • Executes the operation, reporting and continuous improvement of the services and functions required to deliver and support infrastructure services and products to meet the needs of the business.
  • Performs processes to ensure the stability, capacity and performance of associated services and functions. Addresses and adjusts services as needed to maintain or exceed service levels to business.
  • For accountable services, partners with the IT organizations responsible for ITIL service management-based processes associated with Incident, Problem, Change, Availability, and Release Management.
  • Oversight of ensuring adherence by all service teams to Asset / Inventory Management.
  • Critical executive / client support.
  • Ensure fluid/active participation in all Disaster Recovery activities (planning/testing/coordinating/responding).
  • Work with local regulatory bodies / authorities where required.
  • Work closely with Governance/Compliance/Audit functions.
  • Support the SRM (Strategic Relationship Management) function by acting as an End to End IT representative of Worley Digital Operations by establishing fluid communications between the SRM and the Business to ensure demands are being communicated, documented and delivered upon.
  • Oversight of teams coordinating asset disposal, ensuring strict adherence to disposal process(es).
  • Ensure all necessary onboarding support is made available to People Group(s), Hiring Managers, etc.
  • Support procurement activities at both local and regional levels.
  • Support telecom expense activities, including procurement, invoicing and tracking of mobile devices.
  • Management and oversight of unsupported applications and associated licensing hardware as needed.
  • Works as part of a team that leverages agile approaches to meet business needs at an accelerated pace.
  • In partnership with senior operations support analysts, identifies, documents, and resolves infrastructure issues affecting computing service users.
  • Under general direction, develops and implements technical solutions for issues that are of a simple to difficult complexity.
  • Understands the existing departmental/unit/functional processes and procedures.
  • Understands workflow, process inputs and outputs, dependencies, etc. specific to their role.
  • Organizes time and information in a manner conducive to a high level of personal productivity; able to multi-task in an environment driven by time-constrained deliverables.
  • Adapts to change and works effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Decision Making : Makes independent decisions and sets priorities related to complex situations.  Manages smaller projects, or portions of larger projects.  Responsible for the daily administration of project related policies and processes in order for the project to meet business objectives.
  • Supervision Received: Works with self-initiated interaction with supervisor and self-initiated technical guidance. Influence over duties. Work is assigned only in terms of broad objectives to be accomplished, and is reviewed for policy, soundness of approach and general effectiveness. Work is reviewed to ensure conformity with policy and for coordination of other company departments.
  • Supervision Authority: Limited management scope that works well independently with strong lead responsibilities

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in Infrastructure & Operations – preferably for a global organization with field onsite experience.
  • 5+ years experience with assessing the impact and challenges for Infrastructure & Operations of business operations.
  • Typically 5+ years relevant experience including supervisory, project management and/or technical experience.
  • Experience with the deployment of relevant Infrastructure & Operations international standards, practices and methodologies.
  • Able and willing to travel to West Texas frequently. Role will be office based out of Houston with travel to field site in West Texas.
  • Experience in the following programs:
    • ServiceNow
    • Microsoft 365 suite
    • Active Directory
    • SCCM
    • Microsoft Project
    • Microsoft Teams
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • O365 Admin Center (preferred)
    • Visio
    • Apple iPadOS (preferred).
  • Proficiently communicate ideas and concepts, developing the ability to persuade and influence others as needed.
  • Strong understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues.
  • Understanding of ECPM industry, and related Infrastructure & Operations Services requirements.
  • Understanding of industry business strategies, and related Infrastructure & Operations enablement.

    • Demonstrates full commitment to all health and safety matters and provides safety leadership to project team.
    • Satisfies all requirements of functional or project safety compliance including, where required, project site inductions
    • Has participated in any required HSE training such as manual handling and heavy lifting, and other office environment and housekeeping training
    • Is able to present safety/one-way moments to other members of the team.
  • HSE Capability:
    • Completion of Manager-level training of Worley HSE policies, methodologies, processes and procedures - and competence in deploying them for a Global team.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.
