Purpose of the Role
The Senior Construction Manager at Worley is a key leadership role that drives the strategic direction, planning, and execution of construction activities. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed customer expectations while aligning with Worley’s ambition to lead the way in sustainability solutions. By integrating innovative strategies and leveraging both internal and external expertise, the Senior Manager champions sustainable transformation and operational excellence in all construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic project plans, ensuring alignment with customer objectives, contractual commitments, and corporate sustainability goals.
- Lead and manage specialized and complex construction projects, delivering integrated solutions that address strategic challenges and opportunities.
- Oversee project execution, focusing on business, production, and organizational priorities to achieve seamless project delivery.
- Build and maintain deep knowledge of customer requirements, contractual terms, and organizational policies, ensuring compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Provide decisive leadership to drive organizational project changes, incorporating broad functional knowledge and innovative strategies.
- Mentor and manage project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth across all levels.
- Troubleshoot project challenges, developing tactical plans to align organizational goals with project execution.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure coordinated efforts, maximizing efficiency and project success.
- Review and monitor project deliverables, ensuring adherence to Worley’s high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Experience
- Extensive experience in construction management, including supervisory roles, project leadership, and technical expertise.
- Proven ability to manage high-impact and complex construction projects, integrating diverse technical and business priorities.
- Demonstrated success in implementing organizational change and driving innovative solutions.
Leadership and Decision-Making
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience in team management, performance evaluations, and strategic decision-making.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop tactical plans to achieve organizational objectives.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices, with a focus on sustainability.
Communication Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex proposals and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach to leadership, fostering a participative and cooperative team environment.
- Persuasive and influential communicator with a commitment to fostering strong customer relationships.
Technical and System Expertise
- Advanced knowledge of systems, processes, and tools specific to the construction field, with the ability to guide and mentor others.
- Experience in the development and optimization of construction-related systems and processes.
