Senior Applications Technical Specialist
Job Specific Knowledge and experience:
• A strong understanding of GPDS applications Framework and project data management systems including their architecture and database technologies.
• Proven experience in interfacing with IT stakeholders to consider / inform strategic planning and business alignment.
• Broad knowledge of the Engineering / Procurement / Construction (EPC) information lifecycle sufficient to liaison with Application Owners.
• Broad working knowledge of Information Management disciplines
• An understanding of ITIL is useful as it applies to the Worley application processes.
• Initiative, drive, and high energy levels including proven problem-solving experience in challenging environments
Industry Specific Experience:
• 15 years’ experience in the support of GPDS’s engineering tools for the EPC business. Has held senior positions ensuring development, support and growth of computer-based engineering systems.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications with a preferred degree in Engineering and at least 20 years’ experience in the use of computer-based design tools.

• Ability to comply with, promote and provide leadership in HSE policy and safety framework
• Achieve the objectives of the Zero-Harm vision through proactively implementing actions and/or corrective or mitigating actions, and by maintaining an overall knowledge and awareness of the work-place environment (operations, layout, hazards, risks, concurrent activities, personnel, etc.)
• Role-model a commitment to personal well-being and a pro-active approach to continuously improving health, safety, and environmental performance
IT Skills:
Must have strong knowledge of Azure/AWS, networking, databases, and hardware
Must have strong knowledge of network, databases and hardware for Project Delivery Systems.
Must have experience working on complex software systems (both 3rd party and custom) with high availability that are horizontally scalable.
Must have strong understanding of GPDS applications Frameworks.
Strong understanding of cloud deployed applications for designing, managing and deploying software systems on Azure. Knowledge of Agile development methodology and deployment strategies, ITIL process preferred

• Ability to manage projects with remote teams, communicate effectively with remote groups and able to motivate others to complete project tasks even when they don’t report to you.
• Mentoring team members and proactively share experience and expertise.
• Create a work environment that promotes proactive cooperation and motivates individuals to maintain a positive attitude in order to consistently deliver quality services and technical solutions that meets business requirements and customer needs.
• Ensure training of resources and identify training requirements for specific job roles
• Partner closely with multi-functional teams including Business Analysts, SME, Application Owners, Data Managers, Security Team and IT Team members to ensure project success.
