Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct or direct site surveys and plant visits to establish equipment and/or layout constraints in the existing facilities on sites that may influence the overall project design concept and be able to work with Static and Equipment engineers to recommend the most economical solutions.
• Experienced in the specification for, evaluation of and documentation of rotating equipment packages.
• Vendor document review and co-ordination with the other disciplines.
• Work is performed in accordance with broad technical guidelines and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
• Responsible for the schedule and budget performance of the mechanical discipline static team assigned to him.
• Candidate shall be familiar with International codes, like API’s related to rotating machineries.
• Knowledge of Design Engineering Standards and Practices of International Operating Companies (e.g. Saudi Aramco, SABIC) will prove to be an added advantage to the candidates.
• Experience in design & selection of rotating machinery – like pumps, compressors, turbines for oil and gas projects.
• Candidate should have exposure to the preparation of specification, data sheets and Material Requisition for rotating machineries.
• Candidate should have the experience of evaluating vendors’ offer, preparation of technical questionnaire, preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation, preparation of Purchase Requisition and Review of Vendor documents.
• Middle East experience would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of piping engineering, preparation of piping specifications, static stress analysis and pipe supports.
• Should have an experience in the engineering of rotating & static equipment’s – like pumps, compressors, turbines.
