Purpose of the Role
The Material Controller II plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate availability of materials required to support Worley’s construction, installation, and engineering activities. This role ensures materials are effectively controlled, received, stored, and distributed to enable seamless project execution. It supports Worley’s commitment to delivering sustainable solutions by ensuring material management processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Review blueprints, engineering drawings, and product specifications to determine material requirements for construction and installation activities.
Manage and maintain material control systems to ensure accurate tracking, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to align material availability with project schedules and sustainability objectives.
Validate inventory levels, adjust material quantities, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and specifications.
Document material requirements comprehensively, including all relevant data necessary for procurement and order processing.
Collaborate with site teams to ensure materials are delivered in the correct quantities and within required timelines.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and solutions-driven work environment.
Identify issues related to material control and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure that all material control activities comply with Worley’s safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
Qualifications / Skill Set
University degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
Proven experience in material control, supply chain, or logistics within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.
Strong understanding of engineering documentation, including blueprints and specifications.
Proficiency in managing material control systems, processes, and related tools.
Ability to plan and execute complex material control tasks with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with sustainability-driven project requirements and the ability to align material control processes with these objectives.
Demonstrated capability to work in dynamic environments with changing priorities while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
