Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the electrical and instrumentation teams on the construction site.
Ensure installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems are performed according to project design, specifications, and standards.
Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and project-specific HSE policies.
Interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics for the team.
Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and optimize work schedules.
Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, manpower, and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets project standards.
Provide technical guidance and training to personnel on electrical and instrumentation tasks.
Assist in procurement and inventory control of electrical and instrumentation materials and tools.
Support troubleshooting and problem-solving during commissioning and start-up phases.
Participate in project meetings and report on electrical and instrumentation progress, challenges, and risks.
Ensure all activities align with client and company policies, including environmental and quality management systems.
Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience in electrical and instrumentation supervision, preferably within mining or heavy construction projects.
Proven experience with Power Distribution, Control Systems, Field Instruments, and Automation relevant to mining operations.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEC, NEC), and instrumentation practices.
Familiarity with project management software and tools.
Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands.
Valid safety certifications and PAP (Project Authorization Permit) knowledge preferred.
