This is a remote/ rotational position, working two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose:

 

This position involves a range of tasks related to the operation, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of Reverse Osmosis water treatment and wastewater treatment plants. The goal is to ensure that all equipment remains safe and functions properly. The role is based on the North Slope and requires working on a rotational schedule. While relocation assistance to Alaska is not offered, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Additionally, room and meals are covered while working in Prudhoe Bay.

 

Essential Job Functions:

·       Operate and oversee both Reverse Osmosis water treatment and wastewater treatment plants, including continuous monitoring of all plant operations.

·       Ensure timely completion and submission of all required reports.

·       Maintain and repair plant facility components and equipment, including hoses, valves, piping, and building infrastructure.

·       Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and monitoring stock levels.

·       Control access to the plant and oversee all activities within the facility.

·       Support and adhere to the company’s environmental management system objectives.

·       Conduct regular safety and productivity inspections, including assessments of plant, field, and vehicle conditions.

·       Comply with all North Slope and Worley health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

·       Generate and complete preventative and corrective maintenance work orders.

·       Replace bearings and seals in motors, pumps, and other equipment as needed.

·       Remove and install new or existing equipment.

·       Operate plants in compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.

·       Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment safety and optimal performance.

·       Carry out plumbing and pipefitting tasks as required.

·       Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records.

·       Manage and utilize the computer maintenance management system effectively.

·       Follow both written and verbal instructions.

·       Demonstrate basic computer operation skills.

·       Perform additional duties as assigned.

·       Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety procedures.

 

Physical Demands/Work Environment:


Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:
 

·       Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

·       Standing for prolonged periods of time.

·       Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather

·       Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.

·       Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.

·       Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.

·       Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.

·       Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.

·       Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.

·       Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

Qualifications

 

·       Alaska Level 2 water treatment and level 1 wastewater treatment certificates or higher.

·       High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

·       Valid drivers’ license and the ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer.

·       North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
