Washbay Laborer (Rotational Schedule) - Prudhoe Bay, Alaska
This is a remote/ rotational position, working two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose:
The Wash Bay Attendant uses high-pressure, high volume wash system to clean equipment and vehicles. This position is located on the North Slope and requires a rotational work schedule. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Room and meals are provided while in Prudhoe Bay.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operates high-pressure water system to clean vehicles, heavy equipment, tanks and trucks, as well as the interior and exterior of vessels, from 100 bbl. to 400 bbl. upright tanks, Vac trucks and guzzlers.
- Use and operation of vac-trailers, super suckers, Cusco’s, chemical trucks and non-mobile trailers.
- Opening and closing hatches on all vessels that come into the wash bay.
- Spotting equipment in and out of the wash bay using unified hand signals.
- Work in confined spaces with high pressure water, hand tools and air tools for long periods of time.
- Use, cleaning and maintenance of sumps, sump pumps and sump to holding tank fluid transfer.
- Read and understand a north-slope manifest and differentiate between class-1 and class-2 materials.
- Utilizes brushes, brooms, soaps, and solvents when necessary to facilitate removal of sludge, grease and oil.
- Responsible for keeping wash bay building and equipment clean and may perform routine maintenance on equipment such as pumps and hoses.
- Complete PTSP (Pre-Task Safety Planning) card prior to starting any job.
- Routinely operate Worley/client light and/or medium duty vehicles.
- Safely climb ladders of various heights.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Possess current general knowledge of practical laborer skills and be able to work safely.
- Must be able to follow all company, client, safety, and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
Physical Demand/Work Environment:
Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:
· Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
· Standing for prolonged periods of time.
· Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather
· Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
· Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.
· Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
· Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
· Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
· Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
· Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid driver’s license including ability to be insured by Worley's auto insurer.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of related construction labor working experience.
- Petrochemical, oilfield or arctic experience.
