PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As an integral part of the Worley Graduate Community, this entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to global energy, chemicals, and resources projects under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team that helps deliver sustainable, forward-thinking solutions for complex challenges. This role supports Worley’s strategic ambition of leading the energy transition and building a more sustainable future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for projects that span traditional and renewable energy sectors.
  • Assist in delivering mechanical engineering services that align with Worley’s technical standards, customer expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to engineering studies and technical assessments that guide project planning, risk management, and innovation.
  • Participate in the creation of technical documentation including drawings, specifications, reports, and calculations in support of sustainable project solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity across engineering phases.
  • Embrace and uphold Worley’s values and commitment to delivering sustainable change, actively contributing to the company's purpose of building a more sustainable world.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET

Education & Academic Foundation

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.

Technical Skills & Industry Exposure

  • Foundational understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design practices.
  • Awareness of the interconnection between mechanical engineering and other engineering disciplines within energy, chemicals, and resources sectors.
  • Enthusiastic about sustainability and open to learning how mechanical engineering contributes to energy transition initiatives.

Software Proficiency

  • Familiarity with engineering-specific software tools and applications.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Professional Attributes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic project environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate within a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Proactive mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • This opportunity is expected to begin in June/July 2025 and is designed for early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in a global engineering organization with a strong focus on sustainable transformation.
