Process Engineering Technology Manager - Copenhagen

Role Context:

Our Process and Technology group, specializing in Syngas and CO2 processing, is looking to employ a Technology Manager to undertake Studies and Pre-FEED work in this area, together with providing SME support to large FEED projects.  The growth in the Worley business, and particularly in Syngas and CO2 processing, is sizeable. We’ve currently got many interesting and long-term projects which mean we need great people to deliver to our clients. 

Worley is looking to expand its Process and Technology team in Copenhagen by recruiting a Technology Manager. This is an opportunity to help grow and develop the business in Denmark. 

You'll be:

  • Acting as the Process Lead on Studies and providing SME support to syngas and CCS projects.
  • Responsible for the technical delivery and quality of the process deliverables on studies and pre-FEEDs.
  • Helping to grow the business in the Nordic region using your skills and knowledge of syngas and CCS technologies to contribute to business development and proposal efforts.
  • Evaluating new or existing Technologies and start-ups to advise the business of a potential partnership or purchase of the technology. We also have evaluated licensor technologies, independently, at the request of the licensor themselves.
  • Enhancing our own offerings to keep abreast of market trends.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to the younger engineers in the group with the aim to develop them into one of our future SMEs.
  • Take learnings from the latter project phases, start-up, etc and cycle them back into the concept development and our designs, to enhance our offering to the market.  

You'll have:

  • A recognised and relevant engineering degree.
  • Deep knowledge of syngas generation technologies such as gasification, POx, reforming, syngas to products such as hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, SAF, and pre and post combustion carbon capture. 
  • Excellent technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to our clients.
  • Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of process engineering, working with licensed technologies, and the basic requirements      of other engineering fields.
  • Excellent knowledge of the syngas industry, major licensors, processes and markets.
  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and simulation software (e.g. Aspen Plus / HYSYS).
