Purpose:

Chemetics Inc. Worley Group is a diversified technology company that provides design and engineering solutions to the chloralkaline, sodium chlorate, chlorine dioxide, and sulphuric acid industries worldwide. It is a Company with a 60-year history in Vancouver with diverse cultures, talents, and highly skilled professionals. Chemetics operates a specialized alloy fabrication shop in Pickering, ON.

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Service Representative. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based at our fabrication facility in Pickering, ON Canada.

The Technical Service Representative is responsible for commissioning and turnaround inspection of process equipment and its corrosion protection systems (ANOTROL®). Varied chemical plant service work, providing workshop technical advice, and issuing spare parts quotations are also part of the work.

With time candidate may expand into engineering design and/or other type of multi-discipline work. 


Responsibilities:

  • Verifying equipment is installed in accordance with Chemetics’ drawings and technical documents.
  • Commissioning of the equipment ready for first operation.
  • Performing turnaround inspections, troubleshooting and related service tasks.
  • Preparing operating manuals.
  • Training customer’s operating and maintenance personnel.
  • Preparing commissioning and inspection/service reports.
  • Interact with customers, prepare quotations, and sell proprietary equipment spare parts.
  • Willingness to travel internationally. 

What you will bring:

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • The position requires an understanding of process equipment and electrical control systems, mechanical aptitude, metallurgy and good communication skills. Outgoing personality and strong work ethic are assets. 

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • University Engineering Degree (E.I.T. level) or College Technician, Technologist diploma in mechanical, or materials disciplines.
