We’re looking for a Sustainability Advisory Team Lead to join our Brisbane team.

Are you a Brisbane-based Sustainability professional at Associate Consultant to Senior Associate Consultant level, ready to take the next step in your career and grow impactful advisory services? Do you want to work as part of a multidisciplinary environment?

We are growing and have an opportunity in our ANZ Sustainability Advisory team to support the delivery and growth of our Australia East Sustainability Advisory business.

You’ll join a dynamic team tackling complex challenges in the energy, chemicals, resources, and infrastructure sectors. Our work helps clients navigate economic, environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities — embedding sustainability into strategy, projects, and operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a person with a passion for delivering impactful sustainability solutions and driving business growth.

As a Sustainability Advisory Team Lead you will be a key member of our ANZ Sustainability Advisory team and report to the APAC Social and Sustainability Advisory Managing Consultant. You will be the focal point for opportunities in the Australia east region.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Sustainability Advisory Team Lead to join our Brisbane team.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality technical solutions across sustainability domains.

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative, open culture.

  • Driving business development and identifying new opportunities.

  • Shaping and delivering Worley Consulting’s Sustainability Advisory Services strategy.

  • Winning work, then delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

  • Embedding sustainability in strategy, planning, delivery and operations, including incorporating sustainability in decision making for our customers.

  • Conducting assessments in Natural Capital, Lifecycle, GHG/climate risk, and sustainability reporting.

  • Developing and implementing sustainability decarbonisation / climate change frameworks, roadmaps, and mitigation strategies.

  • Communicating key sustainability messages, challenges and opportunities across a wide range of stakeholder groups and forums.

  • Challenging our customers and ourselves in the pursuit of sustainable outcomes.

What you’ll have

  • Extensive years of experience in sustainability-related fields (e.g. natural capital assessment, sustainability advisory), including time in a consultancy environment.

  • Proven project management skills, including budget control, scheduling, quality assurance, and team resourcing.

  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality work, with attention to detail across reports, presentations, and client interactions.

  • Experience leading, managing and collaborating on multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Technical expertise in relevant sustainability methodologies and frameworks.

  • Demonstrated success in business development, proposal writing, and cultivating repeat business.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and established networks within industry and client communities.

  • Familiarity with national and international sustainability standards and tools (e.g. UN SDGs, GHG Protocol, GRI, NGER, ISCA, IFC, ICMM, TCFD, SFDR, Lifecycle Analysis).

  • Prior experience mentoring or managing teams or individuals preferred.

  • Formal qualifications in sustainability (desirable).
