The Role
As an SQS Inspector with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….
- The Supply Inspector is responsible for overseeing the quality control and compliance of materials and equipment procured for oil and gas, renewable/green energy projects. This role ensures that all procurement activities meet the Project Specifications, applicable Codes, established standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections and testing of materials and equipment at supplier sites and upon delivery to ensure compliance with specifications. Carryout Shop Expediting activities and follow-up action as per requirement.
- Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards and procurement requirements.
- Coordinate with Supplier, Customer and plan Shop Inspections & expediting per Project requirements, issue Inspection Assignment to Inspector, Report review and distribution. Attend pre, post award meeting with Suppliers / Contractors. Ensure Non-conformance, Concessions, and Deviations are reviewed and processed per work instructions. Issue Inspection Release per procedure.
- Carry out supplier quality document review, maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and compliance issues; generate reports for management and stakeholders.
- Work closely with procurement, engineering, and project teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Assist in training personnel on quality assurance and quality control processes and standards relevant to procurement.
- Participate in initiatives to enhance quality assurance practices and supplier performance.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Engineering (Mech., Production, or relevant).
- Certifications in quality control : NDT - ASNT Level-II/III in RT, UT, MT, PT, VT is must. Welding Qualification CSWIP-3.1 / AWS Welding Inspector (Optional).
- Min. 10 years’ experience in consulting, engineering or contracting company, Manufacturing shop QC, Third Party Inspection Agency, and 5+ years of experience in inspection or quality assurance in the oil and gas sector.
- Inspection experience of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Structural Fabrication, Rotating Equipment, Skid mounted Packages, Valve, piping, etc.
- Strong understanding of Inspection processes and quality management systems.
- Knowledge of various National and International Code and Standards (ASME, API, ASNT, IBR, IS, BS, EN,…).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- The Supply Inspector may work in office settings, at supplier locations, or project sites, requiring adherence to safety protocols and flexibility in work arrangements.
