Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Reliability Field Engineer with expertise in mechanical seals. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a 2 year field position working on a client site in the Niagara region.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed root cause analysis of current and past mechanical seal failures.
- Execute any corrective actions.
- Review the current design and operating conditions of the existing mechanical seals on critical vessels to confirm they are operating in their integrity operating window.
- Ensure each seal is appropriately monitored.
- Establish maintenance schedule and requirements as required.
- Prepare Progress Reports and circulate to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in regular client meetings.
- Perform analysis, calculations, conduct studies and prepare reports as required.
What you will bring
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Extensive knowledge and expertise of mechanical seal design and reliability.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and various client stakeholders.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- Knowledge of applicable theories, practices and accepted procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills written & verbal skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
- B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Board, Engineers Canada.
- Registered as, or eligible to be registered as an Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
