Spare Parts Coordinator

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, customer accounts (installations in the market), including new installation up to six months out from delivery
- Prepares and submits quotes to customers
- Prepares purchase orders to reorder needed parts
- Prepares purchase orders for emergency orders
- Enters receipt and distribution of parts/supplies into computer to update automated inventory records
- Conducts periodic physical inventory; maintains stock levels
- Answers correspondence from internal and external customers in a professional manner
- Pulls parts and completes paperwork necessary for the shipping department to quickly get needed parts to internal and external customers
- Ensures that the service department, field service technicians, are adequately supplied with all parts and materials as needed at all times
- Ensures all parts service orders are accurate, complete and submitted in a timely manner
- Consistently maintains a high level of professionalism when working with internal and external customers
- Regularly improve and update product knowledge by participating in educational and product training opportunities
- Creates Credit Memos/Service Return Orders for parts being returned and assures they are correctly returned to inventory
- Responsible for the parts & components, storage layout, proper and safe storage, accurate counting of stock on hand, and warehouse security
- Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover warranty parts are properly tagged and processed so that the company recovers full credit from the OEM factory and I or parts component manufacturer
- Perform other such tasks as needed and as requested.
- Works closely with Service administrator to ensure that parts warranty submissions are processed correctly.
Qualification
- Any degree/diploma in the relevant engineering discipline.
