HSE Manager – Site Based (Southern Regions of Denmark)

Role Context:

Worley are currently bidding for a well-recognized Danish green hydrogen project (EPCM), this project is set to start in the south of Denmark and EPCm is estimated to run for 4 years. This project is part of a large European strategy and is important in Denmark's efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and improve renewable energy. The project includes a greenfield large onshore pipeline and an existing methane pipeline. Please note this role is subject to project award on a contractual basis, which will commence in Q1 2026. For this project in particular we require individual that are already based in Denmark as no relocation assistance will be provided.

The Health and Safety (HS) Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs for the project. The role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, identifying potential risks, and creating strategies to mitigate them. The HS Manager will lead safety initiatives, conduct safety audits, and ensure that all workers adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents. They will collaborate with project management, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to foster a safety-first culture across the project site.

You'll be:

  • Embedding and deploying the aims of the Worley and project HSE Policy into the project, within the HSE requirements specified in the contract.

  • Liaise with Risk Management to understand risks associated with the project, with a view to developing controls to mitigate against risk items

  • Develop the Project Execution Plan - HSE (To align with client H3SE Plan requirement) and associated documentation in consultation with project stakeholders and ensure that the documentation provides the minimum HSE standards that the Project must meet.

  • Develop, monitor and deliver the HSE Assessment and Site Inspection Plan.

  • Review all project documentation (as per the document distribution matrix) to ensure adequate coverage of HSE considerations.

  • Develop and execute project HSE performance reporting (in accordance with project and Worley corporate requirements) and report HSE performance to the Project Management Team and the Worley Ops. Manager

You'll have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Professional certifications (AMK-P/AMK-B)

  • Experience in health and safety management for large-scale infrastructure or pipeline projects

  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing health and safety programs and policies

  • Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk management, and safety management systems

  • Experience in conducting safety training, workshops, and awareness programs

  • Proficiency in safety management software and tools

  • Ability to perform risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions

  • Familiarity with incident reporting and investigation techniques

  • Ability to create and maintain health and safety records and reports for compliance purposes
