Service Writer / Parts Person (Rotational Schedule) - Prudhoe Bay, AK
The position is located on the North Slope and requires a flexible rotational work schedule. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Room and meals are provided while in Prudhoe Bay.

Job Purpose:
This position will assist the shop lead with opening work orders, preparing repair estimates, gathering information about warranties and provisions for service coverage, and scheduling repairs to be done.
In addition, this position will be trained to handle ordering and managing parts for our customers and service technicians. A significant amount of customer interaction both in person and by phone comes with this role.
· Provide customers with estimates in line with varying needs and expectations of cost, quality, and lead time.
· Review repair orders for accuracy and ensuring proper description of symptoms, problems, and causes are listed, as well as repairs and services performed based on what technicians submit are captured.
· Consult with Shop Lead about necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive work.
· Create and schedule work orders.
· Entering repair orders into service database system.
· Assist Shop Lead with needs for vehicle repairs and maintenance services, timelines, and schedules etc.
· Timely and accurate documentation regarding each vehicle repair.
· Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures and accept accountability for safe work practices.
· Stock and inventory parts in multiple shops.
· Issue and bill parts from inventory.
· Deliver parts to technicians.
· Obtaining parts information.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:
· Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and high ranges, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
· Must stand throughout evaluation.
· Aerobic capacity evaluation via 3-minute step test.
· Sit and reach and range of motion evaluations.
· Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
· Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
· Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.

Qualifications:
· Minimum one (1) year as a Service Advisor / Service Consultant or parts department experience
· High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
· Valid driver’s license required and ability to be insured by Worley auto insurer.
· North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Alaskan Residents are strongly preferred.
· Ford Warranty experience.
