We’re looking for a Senior Safety Engineer to join our Safety & Risk and Asset Integrity team.

As a Senior Safety Engineer, you’ll lead high-impact projects, mentor junior team members, and provide technical expertise in safety engineering, risk management, and asset integrity. Our Safety & Risk and Asset Integrity team specializes in delivering world-class safety, risk, and asset integrity solutions for major hazard facilities. With unparalleled expertise spanning design, construction, operation, and late-life management, we bring a unique perspective shaped by hands-on experience in operational environments. What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Senior Safety Engineer to join our Safety & Risk and Asset Integrity team.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Lead safety and risk assessments for major hazard facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. 

  • Develop and implement asset integrity management strategies across the asset lifecycle. 

  • Provide technical leadership in the design, construction, and operational phases of projects. 

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation. 

  • Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored, high-quality solutions.

What you’ll have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Process, or related discipline); advanced qualifications are a plus. 

  • Relevant experience in safety, risk, or asset integrity engineering, ideally with major hazard facilities. 

  • Proven expertise in operational environments and lifecycle management of complex assets. 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
