Key Accountability:
- Ensures team member adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful. Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence. Supports checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
- Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE management and its associated requirements in a project environment.
- Expert knowledge in design & selection of Rotating equipment for offshore and onshore oil & gas projects of comparable complexity and value is essential.
- Experience in study work, cost estimation and assessment of existing equipment for new process duties is essential.
- Experience in CONCEPT / SELECT / DEFINE phase activities, Detailed Design and EPC phase, procurement of equipment and management of third parties is preferred.
- Experience with Consultant or owner or Project Management Consultant (PMC) organisation in the execution of similar projects is preferable.
- Participation in projects in Middle East is preferred, ADNOC experience is preferred.
- Demonstrate capability to actively engage in client workshops covering design review, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability, sustanability, reliability, quality reviews etc.
- Has experience in discipline Basis of Design development and equipment selection philosophy.
- Is able to complete equipment selection studies for new equipment and adequacy studies of existing equipment with modified process parameters.
- Has expert knowledge in preparation of specifications, mechanical datasheets, requisitions along with carrying out technical bid evaluation for rotating equipment and packages.
- Can describe engineering skills to consistently deliver quality, work accurate and timely to deliver activities and deliverables for Worley and its clients.
- Conduct document checking and design verification tasks for compliance to company and project specifications
- Conduct interdisciplinary coordination activities.
- Must have extensive knowledge about codes, standards & recommended practices for this discipline. Advanced knowledge of API standards for rotating equipment including but not limited to API-610, 617, 618, 682, 614, 674, 675, 682 is required.
- Should have knowledge of other international codes and standards, statutory and regulatory requirements and a good understanding of onshore / offshore engineering practices applicable to mechanical-rotating engineering design for oil and gas / refinery / petrochemical facilities. Familiarity with ADNOC Standards and procedures would be an advantage.
- Has expert knowledge and experience in design & engineering of following types of rotating equipment:
o Centrifugal Compressors (specific to Process Gas Applications)
o Reciprocating Compressors
o Rotary Compressors
o Centrifugal Pumps
o Positive displacement pumps
o Fans and blowers
o Miscellaneous Packages (Chemical Injection Packages, Material Handling Equipment, Dryer packages) - Extensive knowledge of procurement support and package management for equipment purchase. The candidate shall demonstrate knowledge in typical engagement covering manufacturer ITP, sub-supplier order, material certification, welding, NDE and testing procedures, manufacture hold points, stage payment, FAT and inspection release.
- Previous experience and competence in completing site visit to client site, information gathering and lision with client representative.
Qualifications, Accreditation, Training (Essential)
- Awarded a 4 or 5 year technical degree in science or engineering. Trained in leadership and project execution. Will be actively licensed with a local engineering governing body where required by law.
Qualifications, Accreditation, Training (Desirable)
- Training in risk management or quality.

- Relevant years of Experience (Essential) discipline experience. Has a strong background in discipline work and a competent understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices. Skilled in estimating project costs and writing proposal content.
