Purpose:

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Reliability Engineer. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Vancouver, BC.

We are looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer who will help us grow our business through successful leadership in executing reliability and safety projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Conducting root cause analysis to determine the underlying cause of problems.
  • Developing and implementing new maintenance procedures.
  • Designing and implementing new procedures for monitoring and testing equipment.
  • Finding new technologies and processes that can improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Developing and implementing training programs for employees.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure that reliability is integrated into all aspects of the organization.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of maintenance activities and system modifications.
  • Document findings and make recommendations.
  • Mentors Junior team members. 
  • Identifies and provides any specialized knowledge and training for team members.
  • Evaluates team member performance (when needed)

What you will bring:

Technical and Industry Experience: 

  • Senior level experience in piping, mechanical, static equipment.
  • Successfully led teams.
  • Process Safety Management experience.
  • Experience conducting Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Experience with Preventive, Risk-based and condition-based maintenance is an asset.
  • A strong understanding of the systems, equipment, and processes at hand.
  • Ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Ability to use statistical analysis tools as well as the ability to interpret and communicate the results of the analysis.
  • A continuous improvement mindset: identifying and implementing ways to continuously improve reliability.
  • Demonstrated capabilities to build relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Motivational leadership style and strong communication skills with ability to develop high performance culture.
  • Ability to identify, quantify, and mitigate risks effectively through positive decision making.
  • Experience working in Oil and Gas and/or Mining is an asset.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • A relevant degree in mechanical engineering or related field

For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $185,000 to $210,000

Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
