Senior Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical) - RAK

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage budgets for mechanical works in accordance with the project scope.

Lead cost planning, forecasting, and cash flow reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage procurement and administration of mechanical subcontract packages including tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.

Track progress and measure mechanical works on-site to support accurate monthly valuations and cost reporting.

Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and manage change orders, variations, and claims.

Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure alignment with scope, pricing, and terms.

Support in resolving contractual and commercial issues in coordination with legal and project teams.

Provide detailed cost analysis and value engineering options where applicable.

Ensure commercial risks are identified early and mitigated effectively.

Liaise closely with site engineers, planners, procurement, and finance teams to align cost and operational goals.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in quantity surveying, especially on mechanical works in site-based construction projects.

Experience with large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects (e.g., oil & gas, power plants, refineries, or manufacturing facilities).

Solid understanding of mechanical systems and their integration within construction projects.
