Senior / Principal Finance Analyst
We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst / Principal Financial Analyst within our Global Performance team. This role would suit a highly motivated individual looking for a Group Finance function of a dynamic, large, multi-national ASX-listed organisation. This role serves as a launching pad into other career development opportunities across the Group including Global Planning and Strategic Finance, Regional Finance and Finance Transformation.

What you’ll do
Reporting to the Director – Global Performance, this is a key role in the Group’s month-end and external reporting process, with opportunities for partnering with Sector and Strategy leaders and other key functional stakeholders across the Group.
- Support the preparation, aggregation, consolidation of monthly Board reports, Group Executive and Sector reporting packs to leadership.
- Evaluate financial performance across the business by comparing and analysing actual results against forecast and budget.
- Assist and support the Half Year and Full Year reporting requirements:
- Segment reporting and in-depth analysis to provide deliver meaningful insights to leadership in high profile board deliverables.
- Analyse key drivers to evaluate financial performance (volume, rate/mix, business mix, DSO, sustainability, backlog and pipeline).
- Assist with ‘story telling’ on key messaging for Investor presentation.
- Segment reporting and in-depth analysis to provide deliver meaningful insights to leadership in high profile board deliverables.
- Collaborate, partner and provide value adding analysis to other group functions (i.e. Investor Relations, Treasury, Strategy, Sales, Sustainability, Remuneration, Risk and M&A) to support decision making.
- Partner with key stakeholders, including Strategy and Investor Relations with ability to drive ad-hoc requests into high quality deliverables that incorporate analysis based on the Group actual.
- Build effective and reliable relationships with key stakeholders across multiple time zones (key locations outside Australia: Houston, London, India, KL, Singapore).
- Identify, document and drive process improvement initiatives for Group management reporting.
- Support the business with strong systems knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Planning, Hyperion Planning and HFM.

- Tertiary qualified in Business, Accounting or Finance or a similar discipline.
- CA, CPA or CMA qualification.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work under tight timelines across multiple time zones.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot tables and use of Formulas.
- Advanced Business writing skills – i.e. ability to convey detailed financial analysis and key messages succinctly for the Board of Directors.
Beneficial Background and experience:
- Systems knowledge and expertise, ideally Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Planning, Hyperion Planning and HFM.
- Experience delivering in an ASX listed organization or in large-scale, geographically dispersed fast paced environments.
- Exposure to investor relations activities in an ASX or similar listed organization.
- Big 4 accounting firm experience desirable.
