What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant lead piping designer and layout design experience for mining, mineral processing and / or hydrometallurgical process facilities.
  • Experienced developing Piping Models, Pipe Supports, Equipment Models, Isometric and Orthographic Drawings.
  • Field design experience with the capability to perform field walk downs using P&ID’s, locating tie points dimensionally, and routing pipe through existing facilities is a plus.
  • Strong background in discipline work and a competent understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in the use of MS SharePoint and Teams.
  • Experience using 3D model design software.
  • Proficient in AVEVA E3D.
  • Proficiency in other 3D CAD software from Bentley or Autodesk such as MicroStation, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and laser scanning software is a plus.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Leadership and project execution experience.
  • Responsible for the work of two(2) or more designers in a remote / home office environment.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills; maintain good interaction between clients and team members.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • 2 or 3 year technical diploma with piping design specific training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $85,627 to $131,089. Application of the pay band:

Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
