Job Specific Knowledge:
• Familiar with the prime drivers related to onshore/offshore topsides/plant layout piping design
• A thorough knowledge of the codes and standards and a good understanding of onshore/offshore engineering practices applicable to piping design for oil and gas facilities.
• Able to make difficult decisions and lead and manage others in changing business conditions
• Competent with the project estimating process and can input design deliverables into estimating module
• Conversant with brownfield engineering principles and ability to incorporate them into design.
• Understands Hydrocarbon processing and process diagrams (PFD’s/P&ID’s).
• Able to manage project/multiple project piping teams including all reporting.
Industry Specific Experience:
• proven experience of detailed piping design gained with design contractors and/or oil/gas companies within the industry.
• Extensive design experience in the relevant discipline in the same or similar industry, and, where relevant, experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
