Senior Mechanical (Static Equipment) Engineer
Role Context:
Worley is seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Static Lead Engineer with experience in leading large-scale projects (TIC of EUR 100m up) in the renewable energy, downstream refinery, and chemical/petrochemical markets.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in a complex multi-office environment and who has the ability to provide innovative solutions to clients. Extensive FEED and EPC & EPCm experience are desirable. Travelling outside of the Netherlands may be required on basis of business trips.
You'll be:
Main Responsibilities (List of responsibilities)
- Prepare Material requisition, technical evaluation of vendor offers & Order specification and review of vendor drawings and being involved in inspections and/or site installation.
- Check the deliverables produced by the team.
- Supervise Mechanical Static team and join client meetings.
Preferred Experience (software, language, specific knowledge, or expertise)
- Must have thorough knowledge of static equipment ranging from vessels, heat exchangers, reactors and columns. Furnace /fired equipment is a pre.
- Has good knowledge of international codes and standards.
- Ability to report in in English, both verbal & in writing. Mastering Dutch is an advantage.
- Real team player (within Mechanical team and cooperation with other departments).
- Experience in work cooperation with remote offices (work sharing concept).
- Demonstrate a pro-active and pragmatic mentality.
- Takes ownership of the scope, budget, and schedule.
- Candidate can work independently and reports to project engineer/manager or overall Lead Engineer.
- Flexible for business travelling.
You'll have:
- Education: bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
- Experience Oil & Gas industry in Mechanical Static engineering for 10+ years. This in preparation of Material requisition, technical evaluation of vendor offers & Order specification and review of vendor drawings and being involved in inspections and/or site installation.
- Experience in FEED and Detailed Design project phases.
- Strong command of the English language both written and oral.
