Purpose: 

The Senior Manager, Contracts will provide hands-on leadership, project-focused governance, and functional support with a primary emphasis on the successful project delivery of a key large project (EPCM), while contributing to continuous improvement, consistency, and excellence in project performance.

Responsibilities: 

-Leads the development of Contract Strategies and Plans for a key large project.

-Completes contract assignments for all phases of contractual undertakings. Typically handles the complex contracts – e.g. Construction and Fabrication.

-Understands and applies a thorough knowledge of the principles governing the business terms and conditions of contracts being negotiated.

-Identify, solicit and select reliable contractors to supply consultant, speciality and construction services to support project execution.

-Negotiate terms & conditions, prepare contracts, monitor contractor performance and delivery of services to meet objectives.

-Responsible for successfully managing contract changes post-award. This involves analyzing and responding to contractor correspondence to ensure effective project delivery and support the Client’s rights and remedies under the contract.

-Develop claim defense strategies and engage legal resources as required.

-Provide agreed approvals and supporting documentation for payment of invoices to ensure the required services to Worley and its clients.

-Ensures alignment of their project with broader organizational standards, initiatives, and objectives.

-Manages and directs project work directly or through leads or professionals leading others. 

What you will bring: 

Technical and Industry Experience: 

-Strong Supply Chain (Contracts) project delivery and governance experience, on large-scale EPCM industrial projects.

-Extensive and functionally relevant experience including supervisory, project management and/or technical experience. 

-Possesses an understanding of business strategies, culture and work to achieve results and can execute work beyond the scope of individual function.

-Ability to troubleshoot and develop tactical plans for implementing organizational goals and oversees the design of new concepts and ideas related to projects as well as functional area of expertise.

-Broad knowledge of functional area and ability to implement and lead organizational project change effectively.

-Advanced understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: 

-University Degree (or equivalent) in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience

-Professional designation in Contract Management is beneficial.

-Extensive experience in Supply Chain (Contracts), including major project experience (EPCM).
