Senior Instrumentation Designer
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Diploma in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering or an Electrical Tradesperson who has completed Instrumentation Design, Drafting and Estimates course
- At least 15 years Instrumentation and Electrical design and drafting experience in Mining Minerals and Metals/Material Handling sector industry, O&G Industry or similar industry
- Experience in Brownfield Instrumentation & electrical systems modifications and knowledge of control system interfaces
- A good understanding of Australian and European instrumentation & electrical standards
- Highly effective technical and practical Instrumentation & Electrical design and drafting skills
- Proven skillset in utilizing the following software and tools:
- Microstation SE and or AutoCAD 18 and above
- Microsoft Office and Excel
- 3D Modelling softwares (E3D and/or S3D)
- Navisworks
- Preferred : Smart Plant Instrumentation (INtools 2018) and/or AVEVA Instrumentation
- Effectively interface with other disciplines to ensure fit for purpose design
- Good understanding of control systems and PLC / DCS interfacing understanding of different types of inputs/outputs
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDS
- Proven experience in creating Instrumentation deliverables such as:
- Instrument and JB Location Layouts
- Cable Routing Layouts
- Control and Equipment Room Layouts
- Cable Schedules
- Field Cable/ Network Block Diagrams
- Instrument Loop Drawings
- Wiring and Termination Diagrams
- Hook-up Drawings
- Instrumentation Installation Drawings
- Material take offs
- Network Architecture Drawings
- Panel general arrangements
- Panel and Junction Box Layouts
- 3D Modelling of Offline Instruments, Panels/ JBs, Cable Trays/ Raceways
- Instrument and JB Location Layouts
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to clearly convey information and ideas to project team members.
