Building on our past. Ready for the future

Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals, and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals, and resources needed now.

Purpose:

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic Senior Endpoint Engineer to drive the evolution of our endpoint environment by transitioning to modern computer management and deployment practices in our global and remote work environment. Our team includes world-class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a remote, global role and will require flexibility to work across multiple time zones.

This role will bridge the gap between strategy and execution, working closely with shared services partners responsible for L1 and L2 support to ensure seamless device performance and user satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a technology leader adept in endpoint management solutions, proactive in problem-solving, and collaborative across functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Modern Endpoint Management and Deployment:

  • Design, implement, and maintain endpoint management solutions leveraging tools like Microsoft Intune, JAMF, and SCCM.
  • Transition legacy device management frameworks to modern, cloud-based solutions while ensuring business continuity.
  • Define deployment strategies for devices, updates, and applications, enhancing efficiency across platforms (Windows, macOS, and various mobile OS’s).

Device Lifecycle Management:

  • Define and standardize all stages of the device lifecycle to balance performance, cost, and innovation, ensuring the provision of modern, user-friendly technology, including procurement, provisioning, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Drive automation and optimization of device deployment processes to support scalable operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the shared services partner to monitor, configure, and troubleshoot endpoint devices, ensuring optimal performance and a seamless user experience relying on tools like NexThink and Aternity.

Identity and Security Compliance:

  • Manage and integrate endpoint solutions within Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (AAD) environments.
  • Develop and enforce policies for endpoint security, compliance, and configuration management, preferably a skillset that has moved from AD GPO to AAD Policies.
  • Establish and enforce security standards for endpoint devices, including encryption, anti-malware protection, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Regularly audit and review compliance of all devices, working with the shared services partner to implement data loss prevention, endpoint detection and response, and other security controls.
  • Partner with Information Security and the shared services team to conduct endpoint vulnerability assessments, manage remediations, and address any escalated risks.
  • Have familiarity with designing endpoint controls that align with NIST and Essential 8 frameworks while ensuring a balance of the customer experience with the endpoint.

Collaboration with Shared Services:

  • Act as the technical liaison with L1/L2 shared services teams, ensuring escalations are managed effectively and endpoints remain optimized.
  • Provide technical guidance to support partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and practices.

Cross-Platform Management:

  • Implement and support device management solutions for macOS/iOS using JAMF, ensuring compliance and user productivity.
  • Explore opportunities to streamline cross-platform management for a unified endpoint experience.

Innovation and Strategic Contribution:

  • Research and adopt emerging technologies to enhance endpoint performance, user experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the organization’s endpoint strategy, identifying opportunities to modernize and improve service delivery.

What you will bring:

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and JAMF.
  • Proven ability to improve endpoint experience through the use of tools like NexThink, Aternity, or Tanium.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (AAD).
  • Expertise in deploying and managing security policies, compliance baselines, and conditional access.
  • Experience working with shared services teams in a collaborative, results-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to manage device lifecycles in diverse environments (e.g., Windows and macOS ecosystems).
  • Understand the Windows PE environment.
  • Understand remote driver, bios, and BitLocker management.
  • General knowledge of group policy management, WSUS through SCCM, DISM, VBScript, PowerShell, Graph, DHCP, Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V, and PXE.
  • Knowledge of endpoint support tools including Quick Assist, and Intel Endpoint Management Assistant.
  • A keen drive to maintain document libraries (including detailed designs as necessary) and standards to ensure controls align with various governance and compliance requirements.
  • Application packaging experience for streamlined deployments on Windows/macOS.
  • Familiarity with virtual and published desktop technologies like Citrix, VMware Workspace One, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Tanium or similar endpoint security and management tools.
  • Experience with cloud-enabled automation tools and scripting for process optimization (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Understanding of various global compliance and security frameworks; GDPR, NIST, Essential 8, etc.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, JAMF Certified Administrator, or Citrix certifications, are a plus.
