Role Overview:

As the Senior Director, Executive Reward, you will take on a strategic leadership role responsible for managing our executive reward function. As a key member of the Reward Lead Team, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and governance of the executive reward strategy, policies, and programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market trends, and best practices.

The Senior Director will also manage a small team overseeing the administration of variable reward plans, including equity plans, senior executive remuneration changes and contracts, and the preparation of key disclosures such as the annual remuneration report.

Your key Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development and execution of the executive reward strategy to attract, retain, and motivate senior leadership talent, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals and business performance.
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve executive reward policies and programs, ensuring they are competitive, market-leading, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the administration of all senior executive variable reward plans, including short and long-term incentives and equity-based compensation plans.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of executive reward outcomes, managing all related processes and systems to ensure smooth execution of annual performance reviews and reward payouts.
  • Support the preparation of Board and Committee papers relating to executive remuneration.
  • Lead the preparation and review of annual executive remuneration disclosures, including the Remuneration Report, for inclusion in the company’s Annual Report.
  • Provide expert guidance to HR leaders and regional teams on the execution and impact of executive reward programs globally. 
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders providing high-level expertise and insights into executive reward matters.

    About you:

    This role would suit someone who is currently a Reward Director/Senior Director for a small to mid-sized ASX listed company or, as the 2IC to this person in a larger ASX Listed company.  

    Your additional experience will include:

    • Extensive experience within executive reward, compensation, or remuneration within an ASX-listed company.
    • Proven expertise in the design, implementation, and administration of executive reward plans, including equity plans, STI, and LTI programs.
    • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to executive compensation, including knowledge of ASX requirements and corporate governance requirements.
    • Excellent strategic thinking with a deep understanding of how executive reward strategies can drive business outcomes.
    • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence senior leadership.
    • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., HR, Finance, Business) and professional certifications in executive reward or compensation (e.g., GRP, CCP) would be advantageous.
