Essential Qualifications:
- Awarded a 4- or 5-year technical degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation) and optionally management degree
- Minimum 8 to 15 years’ experience of consulting, managing, and implementation of digital transformation solutions (Manufacturing Execution Management Systems / Manufacturing Operations Management) across various process industries such as oil and gas, renewable energy, utilities (water, and power), and metal and mining.
- Experience of implementing, project management and consulting of large scale MES/Digital/Digital transformation projects in various industries covering digital solutions for Operational Technologies like IIoT, Supply Chain Management, Digital Twin, Computerized Maintenance Management, Asset Performance Management, Laboratory Information Management System, Data Historian, Operations Management, Mass Balance, Energy Management, Process Safety Management, Environment Management, Inventory Operations Management, Process Safety Management, visualization and analytics, and enterprise integration. Exposure to emerging technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, RPA using bots, predictive/cognitive analytics, robotics, and drones, is a must.
- Experience of implementing/managing minimum five or more large-scale MES/digital transformation projects for process industry.
- Experience of working on five or more consulting assignments such as digital strategy development, digital Pre-FEED or FEED, digital roadmap, Digital transformation readiness assessment, etc.
- Experience with ISA-95 automation pyramid and integration between layers from MES to ERP and IT/OT systems.
- Hands-on experience of end-to-end implementation of solutions offered by various technologies providers such as AspenTech, Siemens, Honeywell, AVEVA, Bentley, GE, Meridium, or similar is a must.
- Experience in conceptualization, design, and implementation of digital twin using platforms offered by AVEVA, COGNITE, Bentley, and others.
- Experience in overall MES project cycle covering design workshops, design documentation, build/configuration, site installation/commissioning, go-live, etc., for MES/MOM solutions.
- Experience in developing solution functional and technical architecture, functional and technical requirements, business process development, evaluation of software and hardware technologies, evaluation of system integrators, etc. for MES/digital projects.
- Capability to work in diverse work cultures and comfortable with non-hierarchical organizations.
- Understanding of standards such as ISA 95, and MESA.
- Experience in evaluation / benchmarking various MES/MOM platforms and services in the market and define right KPIs to track success of the initiatives.
- Experience in developing relationships with MES/MOM platform vendors and System Integrators within the ecosystem.
- Experience in developing cost benefit analysis for various digital solutions offered as part of digital transformation projects.
- Strong ability to inform and persuade on complex matters through preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations and reports, as well as collaboration with stakeholders and management.
- Flexibility to travel and work effectively with team members in other offices remotely
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to plan, review, edit reports, other engineering and construction deliverables. Comfortable and effective presenting to senior executives
Desirable Qualifications:
- Language skills in Arabic, Spanish, or French is a plus
- Experience of working in a process plant operations & maintenance is an added advantage.
- Experience in implementation of DCS, PLC, and control systems.
- Experience in programming / application development is an added advantage.
- Knowledge about asset management and reliability standards such as PAS 55/ISO 55001, ISO 14224
- Knowledge about digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and intellectual property standards/solutions.
- Knowledge about digital project delivery solutions for the EPC projects (Digitalization of EPC).
- Strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills with a passion for building teams and growing business
