As a Senior Business Development Manager, your mission is to drive new awards and close deals for identified opportunities. You'll collaborate with Operations and Inside Sales to position and differentiate our company, securing profitable work. Your focus will be on developing opportunities with new or existing customers in emerging markets and sectors.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

  • Education: 

A Bachelor's degree is required, and an MBA is preferred. Relevant job experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

 

  • Experience: 

Over 5 years in the chemicals and/or new energy business, with a proven sales track record.

 

  • Technical Skills: 

Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint online, and a tech-savvy mindset.

 

  • Qualities: 

Strong, inclusive leadership skills. Hands-on, pragmatic thinker and organizer. Collaborative, with high perseverance, tenacity, and empathy.

Innovative, technology-savvy, and progressive.

Enthusiastic, proactive, open, service-minded, and spontaneous

 

  • Other: 

Willingness and ability to travel as an essential part of the job. 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages. Proven experience in the Chemicals & Fuels market.

Ability to function effectively in a complex matrix organization.

Advocacy for business processes, ethics, and procurement integrity guidelines.

Specific Activities:

 

·       Collaborate with Operations and Inside Sales to drive opening and strong middle game, positioning and differentiating the company to secure profitable new awards. Develop, maintain, and advance customer relationships through account strategies and customer contacts, driving business advocacy and added value. Drive the account development strategy with global teams for identified accounts. Apply selectivity principles to pursue new profitable work aligned with the strategy. Tap into or create new customer needs via marketing efforts and Sprint campaigns. Share competitive market intel by understanding market dynamics and competition. Collaborate with Business Leaders, Sector Sales Leads, Territory Sales Leads, and Growth Units to establish new customers and markets.

 

  • Lead the development of win plans, facilitate call planning, and issue call reports to stakeholders. Test and validate value propositions with key customer stakeholders. Lead go/no-go or bid/no-bid reviews and provide recommendations to the approval committee. Lead Executive Strategy Review (ESR) and Gold Team review for selected opportunities.

 

  • Work closely with the Inside Sales Manager to drive proposals, ensuring key win themes are incorporated. Align cost estimates with operations and guide management on profitability expectations. Lead Green Team/pricing review sessions with management. Lead customer presentations, contract negotiations, and deal closures. Collaborate with Inside Sales, Operations, GSM, and Management to drive pursuits.

 

  • Lead by example in promoting an incident and injury-free culture through the company's HSE program. Ensure adoption of GSM policies and procedures and business processes. Leverage the Customer Success Platform (CSP) to manage accounts and opportunities, ensuring data integrity.
