Seasonal Driver/ Equipment Operator East-West Logistics (Rotational Schedule) - Prudhoe, AK
Job Purpose:
Routinely and safely drive on Ice roads with various types of equipment such as tractor/trailer combinations consisting of stretch flatbed trailer and/or double flatbed trailers.
The Driver / Operator is expected to safely secure, transport and unsecure miscellaneous loads on flatbed trailers to and from various locations fieldwide.
The Seasonal Driver / Operator position is expected to run from October 2024 to April 2025, with potential for long-term employment, and is located on the North Slope and requires a rotational work schedule. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half), with opportunities to work additional hours, depending on business demands. All PPE is provided except for steel or composite toed boots. All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.
Essential Job Functions:
· Continually maintain equipment in good/clean working order.
· Ensure the equipment is fully equipped, organized and in proper working condition prior to departure and after arrival with pre and post trip checks per DOT and Company requirements.
· Ensure the clients needs are met in a professional and courteous manner.
· Successfully execute a combination of live loads, drop and hooks, and multi-stop deliveries.
· Complete a task hazard assessment IFWA (Incident Free Work Assessment) prior to starting any job.
· Regularly communicate with Specialty Division Lead and Foreman to maximize efficiency with route planning and travel times.
· Routinely secure loads on flatbed trailers with a variety of straps, chains and ratchet binders in inclement weather conditions.
· Effectively and safely secure all loads of miscellaneous items consisting of dry mud product, pipe, I-Beams, pipe saddles and all other types of oilfield support materials on a regular basis per Worley policy.
· Adheres to all North slope and Worley health, safety and environment policies and procedures always.
· Safely back tractor/trailer into position while utilizing a spotter or cone as a point of reference.
· Be able to safely guide others while spotting into various locations.
· Attend all toolbox and safety meetings.
· Routinely performs safety observations; shop, field, and vehicle/equipment inspections.
· Attend various components of developmental and safety training.
· The position is required to perform physical labor when equipment operations are not necessary.

· Ability to read maps.

· Ability to safely drive/ operate tractor-trailer combination with doubles / stretch trailers.
· Work with extensive equipment operation in congested areas, large volume of backing operations and in severe weather conditions.
· Knowledge of standard DOT regulations.
· Must be able to follow all company, client, safety, and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:
· Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
· Standing for prolonged periods of time.
· Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather
· Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
· Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.
· Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
· Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
· Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
· Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
· Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

Required Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL driver’s license with doubles endorsements and ability to be insured by Worley’s auto insurer.
- Current CDL/DOT medical card.
- Three to five (3-5) years’ experience in operating various types of equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doubles/Triples Trailer experience.
- Petrochemical, oilfield, or arctic experience.
- Stretch Trailer experience is preferred.
