What you’ll have

  • Previous experience working with SCADA systems, ideally within an energy, utilities or industrial environment.
  • Motivation to build your expertise in power generation with a particular interest in wind turbine and wind farm technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Formal Asset Management training and certification through AMC, WPiAM, and similar.
  • Technical knowledge of SCADA systems and associated equipment, including RTUs, PLCs, communications infrastructure, remote access solutions, PMS, and other control systems.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies such as fault tree analysis and 5-Why.
  • An understanding of operational technology (OT) networks and cybersecurity principles relevant to industrial environments.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret data to generate actionable insights.
  • A proactive, curious mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to site locations and perform field investigations when required.
  • A thorough understanding of relevant safety, environmental, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Oracle EAM, SAP, Maximo, or similar.
  • Chartered status with Engineers Australia (or the ability to obtain it) is essential for this position.
