Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for civil works.

  • Evaluate contractors’ and subcontractors’ quotations, claims, and variations.

  • Monitor and control project costs, budgets, and cash flows.

  • Conduct on-site measurements and verify quantities of work executed.

  • Prepare interim and final payment certificates for contractors and subcontractors.

  • Assist in contract negotiations, risk management, and dispute resolution.

  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, material usage, and progress reports.

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, company policies, and legal requirements.

  • Support in preparing project financial reports and forecasts.

  • Promote cost-saving initiatives and recommend value engineering options.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC or equivalent).

  • Experience in cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and cost management software (e.g., Candy, Primavera, or similar).

  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction site environment.
