Quality Assurance Engineer
Role Purpose
Undertake responsibilities to develop and maintain project assurance plan to comply with requirements stated in the Project Assurance Execution Plan. Ensure project quality issues are recorded, investigated, and reported to undertake continuous improvements. Advise the project team on all quality and risk issues.
Key Accountabilities
· Drive awareness and implementation on key elements of Worley Management System to deliver quality projects.
· Conduct project induction training at start of the project and then at different intervals as need arises.
· Develops quality-related plans per contract requirements.
· Compiles and issues monthly report on Quality.
· Raises appropriate actions (corrective / preventive, improvements) in the Assurance system.
· Monitors and follows up for timely close-out of identified actions.
· Facilitate development of project risk register and maintain it as a live document.
· Ensure controls and actions are implemented and effective to mitigate the risks.
· Establish Quality KPIs in discussion with the Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager and regularly collate data for tracking & analysis of project KPIs.
· Report quality outcomes with location’s Assurance Manager and drive improvements in case desired outcomes are not achieved.
· Ensure lessons learnt are captured on time, collated, and maintained at a central location and shared within the project team in order to prevent its recurrence.
· Facilitate investigation of quality incidents and near misses to eliminate their root cause and prevent its recurrence.
· Regular engagement with the PM to monitor extent to which Customer’s Expectations are met & Feedbacks are actioned.
· Recording of assurance activities in the Assurance System.
Job Specific Skills (knowledge, experience, capabilities, systems)
· Job & Industry Specific Knowledge: 10 years of experience in the field Quality Assurance function preferably in a similar engineering organization executing downstream Oil and Gas,Petrochemicals, Chemicals and Renewable Energy projects.
· HSE Capability: Should be able to adhere to Worley Life requirements.
· IT Skills: Ability to work on MS applications and other applications.
· People Skills: Ability to drive adherence to Management Systems and work processes. Ability to resolve issues and provide effective solutions.
Other: Possess effective communication skills in English language both spoken & written.
