Project Engineering Manager

Role Context:

We are seeking high calibre individuals for the role of Project Engineering Manager for our Manchester office. 

This post requires significant experience in the PEM role and engineering management experience of large EPC projects (>USD5 billion). Ability to demonstrate delivery through detailed design is of particular importance.

The UK Engineering group will be supporting a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities in Energy Transition projects as well as traditional international energy projects

Skills & Responsibilities:

  •         Able to work alongside the Project Manager for large capital projects (Pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design and EPCm/EPC).
  •         Experience at managing large engineering teams on complex energy related infrastructure projects.
  •         Focuses on the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality standards.
  •        Capable to set-up engineering on projects at any stage.
  •        Ability to plan execution interfaces and manages all disciplines to achieve design consistency.
  •        Manages the External and the Internal interfaces on a project.
  •        Cost, estimating and planning execution knowledge.
  •        Provides all necessary input and support to project progress and reporting.
  •        Fully experienced in Change and Risk Management
  •        Provides assistance in the strategic procurement planning including for long lead items enquiry.
  • Fully experienced in managing on-site construction and commissioning interfaces and deliverables.

You'll have:

  •        Experience in project stages Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC & EPCM
  •        Experience in running a large engineering task force
  •        The ability to guide and influence the customer
  •        Strong commercial awareness
  •        Sound sustainability awareness
  •        Understanding of and ability to apply AWP principles
  •        Understanding of and commitment to robust project control systems and processes
  •        A degree and preferably chartered status
