Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of mining and construction project phases.
Monitor on-site engineering activities and ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Support the Project Manager in developing project scopes, budgets, timelines, and progress reports.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, construction, and subcontractors.
Track and manage daily site operations, work progress, and manpower allocation.
Review and interpret construction and mining drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Conduct site inspections and quality checks to identify and resolve engineering issues.
Prepare and maintain documentation such as method statements, inspection reports, as-built drawings, and material submittals.
Liaise with consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities as required.
Identify and mitigate project risks and escalate issues to the project leadership team.
Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines and project safety plans.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mining, or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
Experienced in construction and/or mining projects, preferably in remote or site-based roles.
Familiarity with mining methods (open-pit or underground), site development, and infrastructure construction is an advantage.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management processes, and construction methodologies.
Proficient in project software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar).
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work in remote and challenging site conditions on a rotation schedule, if applicable.
