The Role

As a Project Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….

  • The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing engineering projects within the oil and gas sector. This role involves managing project schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and liaising with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate with various engineering disciplines to ensure alignment and integration.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions.
  • Ensure technical integrity and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and clients.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and changes to stakeholders effectively.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and progress reviews with stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and address potential hazards or issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor project expenditures and manage resources efficiently.
  • Identify and address any budgetary or resource constraints.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports and technical files.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

About You 

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or a related field) is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 + years of experience in project engineering within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of oil and gas operations and equipment.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in project management software and engineering tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
