Project Deputy Engineering Manager

Purpose:
As a Project Deputy Engineering Manager you will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary engineering team of Worley personnel and Worley subcontractors on a nuclear power plant project, providing direct interface with the Customer and assisting in the training of Customer’s engineering and technical staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages a multi-disciplinary engineering team to ensure project is effectively and technically delivered to meet the timeline and budget.
- Ensures Worley Engineering team is duly indoctrinated.
- Responsible for providing the necessary technical support and input to the Worley Project Manager and team.
- Represents Worley Engineering at internal & external meetings on the project.
- Establishes Worley Engineering resource requirements and sources the necessary resources for the project.
- Ensures Worley Engineering systems and procedures are developed and rolled out for the project and work is performed in accordance with Worley internal processes and procedures.
- Ensures effective coordination between the Worley project engineering disciplines.
- Ensures Worley Engineering team is correctly reporting in each discipline.
- Enforces inter-discipline reviews of deliverables, distributes deliverables on the project.
- Ensures that all identified contractors are suitably pre-qualified for delivery of the project.
- Substitute Project Engineering Manager in his absence.
- Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering is a must.
- Strong technical skills; 10+ years of experience in engineering management of large scale projects and management of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Extensive nuclear experience required.
- Recognized as having a specialized depth or breadth of expertise.
- Excellent report writing skills.

- Ability to communicate, influence and persuade.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential (Russian is a plus).
- Sound engineering background.
- Prudent use of confidential information.
- Organized and disciplined, capability to plan and schedule tasks and events.
- Ability to work and interact with multidiscipline teams.
- Awareness of project estimates and budgets.
