Principal Technical Consultant, Water Engineer
Experience and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental or Civil Engineering or related engineering or science discipline
· Licensed Professional (PE, P.Eng. or PG)
· At least 20 years of experience in consulting and detail design process engineering, business development, and project management, of water and wastewater management and treatment for the industrial water industry.
· Strong team facilitation and client relationship building skills with proven capability to lead teams, mentor staff and teach developing engineers
· Understanding of business principles for selling and delivering consulting and design projects and related project delivery tools and metrics
· 10 years’ experience writing and communicating complex technical reports, proposals, and presentations
· Proven experience working with project managers to deliver successful projects to our clients
· Ability to travel across North America and worldwide.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Direct operations or industrial water treatment technology applications engineering experience is a plus.
· PhD or Master’s in Chemical Engineering or related discipline is desirable, but not required
· Business development and project delivery of industrial water and wastewater management and treatment solutions
· Location flexible
· Other language skills are a plus
· Experience in mine water management planning, permitting, design and execution in Ontario is plus.
· Experience in mine tailings and waste management planning, permitting, design and execution. Slurry and dry-stack tailings applications experience is a plus.
· Experience with pit lake and pit water management is a plus.
· Experience in design and preparing engineering deliverables for procurement and construction is a plus.
· Experience In engineering design in a data-centric (i.e., "smart") delivery environment is a plus.
