Principal Social Consultant
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors in sociology, economics, planning, or equivalent; Advanced degree(s) preferred in a relevant subject area.
- 10+ years of US professional experience with an environmental consulting organization, operator, contractor, or regulator in energy and resources sectors
- Stakeholder engagement and social research experience in consulting, industry, government, or NGO settings
- Ability to travel.
- Knowledge of Indigenous engagement practices preferred.
- Experience in engineering project delivery considered an asset.
- Ability to cultivate, manage and develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly developed written and oral interpersonal and communication skills including facilitation, presentation, and negotiation.
- Ability to provide high level strategic analysis, advice, and recommendations on opportunities and challenges relating to social consulting.
