Position Summary
Participates in the fire protection design of a process unit, including establishing design basis, development of design options and optimization of selected design.
Implements, modifies, and maintains chemical processes
Preparation of Fire Protection Basis of Design
Preparation of Firewater Coverage Layout.
Preparation of Fire Hazardous Area Layout (For Fireproofing).
Preparation of Firewater P&ID.
Preparation of Water Spray and Foam system P&ID.
Performed Hydraulic Calculations for Water Spray and Foam System.
Performed Hydraulic Calculations for Firewater Main System.
Preparation of Fire Water Demand.
Preparation of Fire Zone Map (Fire Risk Area Drawing).
Perform Technical Bid Evaluation and Review of Vendor Drawing.
Prepare the Firewater Equipment Datasheet.
Able to provide inputs for the preparation of Fire and Gas Location Plan for flammable and toxic gas detector.
Preparation of Fire Hazardous Equipment List.
Preparation of Fire Scenario Envelop Map (Fire Hazardous Drawing)
Preparation of Hazardous Area Classification Memorandum and List.
Preparation of Firewater Pump P&IDs.
Preparation of Firewater Storage Tanks P&IDs.
Attend the 3D model review for fire protection equipment location.
Design and Review of Fire Protection system as per Client Standard, Local Standard and International Standard Requirements.
Perform intensive coordination with fire alarm engineer for the design of fire alarm system.
Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customer.
Has comprehensive understanding of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards and their application.
Supervisory and administrative responsibility over a group of engineers or functions as a technical specialist formulating and developing advanced concepts, techniques, and standards.
Responsibilities include assuring effective utilization of engineering personnel, and technical quality.
Develops designs that require innovation and ingenuity.
Qualifications:
Relevant Degree in Engineering.
NFPA, Certified PE with Process Safety
Excellent communication skills in English
Relevant & extensive experience in Process Safety, Firewater, Fire Protection in Oil & Gas projects.
