What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Principal Safety & Risk Engineer to join our Perth team.

The role responsibilities include:

• Deliver safety studies including Fire Safety Studies, Escape and Muster Studies, Equipment Survivability Studies, QRAs, safety case and SCE impact assessment to support the demonstration of ALARP and recommend actions.
• Deliver safety & risk engineering services that meet applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
• Develop client relationships.
• Coaching and mentoring of more junior team members.
• Accountable for the delivery of safety deliverables and management of change.
• Prepare estimates, budgets and schedules.
• Provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• Prepare technical reports and assist in the presentation of technical issues to clients.

What you’ll have

• Relevant years of Safety & Risk experience.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas and chemical industries.
• Great communication skills both written & verbal.
• Kept up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in safety & risk engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of safety & risk engineering, and good understanding of the requirements of other engineering fields.
• Familiar with applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
• A recognized degree in the relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
