Principal Mechanical Engineer - Utility Boiler Revamps
Technical and Industry Experience
- Experience in greenfield / brownfield projects involving utility boilers.
- Broad working knowledge of thermal and mechanical design of utility boilers.
- Excellent technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients.
- Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the mechanical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable local and international Codes / standards (including ASME Sec-I, Sec VIII Div.1, B31.1, B31.3) and statutory and regulatory specifications, including safety codes like CSA B149.3 and NFPA for new boiler installations and revamps.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and mechanical engineering specific software.
- Extensive technical and practical experience in mechanical engineering including experience with working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
- Experience in construction/commissioning of utility boilers will be an asset.
Education, Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineering (PEng) status.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering; management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent
